I look forward to hearing about how migrating everything to the ethereal Internets works out for you guys - I'm a little hesitant myself, though I guess that, price excepted, it's not a whole lot different from letting my stuff be hosted on a remote server I'm paying for, is it? ;)
I've been thinking of blogging about the move from our own server to hosted services. So far it's been quite painless. The big advantage is that you don't have to worry about configuring and upgrading software, making sure things are secure, etc., and also you have access to some nicer services (e.g. Posterous' post-by-mail, which is incredibly handy) which you wouldn't have in your own server. The big disadvantage is lack of flexibility (e.g. can't have all those javascript-rich widgets on your sidebar) and losing the "feeling of control" on where you data is and how it is stored. But overall, I think it's a very positive move so far.
